Can I buy a Lumie replacement bulb?
Yes! However…
The branded Lumie Bodyclock bulbs (for the Lumie Bodyclock 30 Alarm Clock) have now been discontinued, as Lumie have replaced their Bodyclock Starter 30 with a new product, the Lumie Bodyclock Spark 100, a key feature of which is that they use LEDs instead of halogen bulbs.
But do not worry! Others are available.
The branded Lumie bulb was a fully-dimmable 42w halogen candle bulb with a small screw fitting (42w energy saving SES is the equivalent of the older 60w bulb), and these are available from other suppliers, which actually work fine in the Bodyclock Starter 30.
Equivalents to the now-discontinued Lumie bulb are:
All of these bulbs are 42w dimmable halogen candle bulbs with screw fitting, and can be purchased in multi-packs rather than individually, which also saves money in the long run.
How to install a replacement Lumie Bodyclock bulb
Switch off and unplug the Lumie Bodyclock at the mains. Lift off the dome lamp cover. Unscrew the existing bulb and dispose of carefully. Screw in your new Lumie replacement bulb. Replace the dome cover, making sure it clicks into place. Plug the Bodyclock back in, turn on, and test the sunrise function. If it’s not working you may have the wrong type of bulb. The Lumie Bodyclock bulb is a 42w (SES/energy saving equivalent to 60w) fully-dimmable halogen candle bulb with screw fitting.
This video from Lumie shows how to set up the Bodyclock, including installing a new bulb.

[UPDATE: Lumie have revamped their range of products and have now discontinued the Bodyclock Starter 30. They have replaced it with a range of new products, including the Bodyclock Spark 100, which has similar features but use warm white and red LED bulbs instead of the halogen bulbs. I will be writing a review of this product very soon.]
